Special Class with Alice Liddell

In this 90 minute special class you can find inner peace and relaxation.

Through Yin Yoga, a very calm and inward-looking yoga style, physical and mental inner perception comes to the fore. Yin yoga is also a type of mindfulness training.

The positions/poses are practiced on the floor and held there passively for a few minutes as relaxed as possible and with little use of force. The long duration of the exercises stimulates our connective tissue (fascia) and makes it supple, thereby releasing underlying tension in the tissue. In addition, our parasympathetic nervous system is activated and we can also relax mentally optimally. Our range of movement is continuously expanded, but the pressure on joints and intervertebral discs is still relieved.

A yoga style with a very meditative character, wonderful for ending the week, reducing stress and finding time for yourself.

In this special class you will also recognize traditional Chinese medicine elements again and again. We focus on the current season and the corresponding phase of change with its qualities. Through the various Yin Yoga poses we stimulate the associated meridians and thus bring ourselves back into balance and our life energy Qi to flow.

TCM is a holistic healing art that is thousands of years old and is made up of 5 pillars. Acupuncture/acupressure, drug therapy, nutrition, Qi Gong and massages. In connection with Yin Yoga, we refer to the teaching of acupressure and work with the meridians (channels in the body in which our life energy Qi flows) and the 5 transformation phases (also called elements) of TCM. Everything we do, our planet and life itself runs in a cycle, these cycles are described by the 5 elements.
